The Global Association for the Advancement of Women was founded in 2023 in Canada by a group of women who are passionate about changing systems of oppression at a global level. Many of the founding members have come to Canada for new experiences, and are looking to see how we can bring countries together to create systems that support and integrate cultural inclusion.
Feminism is still needed, and we need to look at what modern-day feminism is. Educating and bringing together collective action to ensure that women and girls continue to grow, develop and advance.

Our Board of Directors is made up of stakeholders from different countries, who are pushing to advance women in all aspects of women's equity. Helping to keep the feminist movement alive and working to educate their communities on what modern-day feminism is.

About Global Association for the Advancement of Women
Our Vision
Built on our history of advancing gender equity through advocacy, partnership, and community-led action, we exist to create change for women and girls in regions where systemic oppression, inequality, and political barriers limit their rights, safety, and opportunities.
We bring together a global network of advocates, organizations, leaders, and communities to strengthen women’s voices, influence policy, and expand access to education, leadership, and decision-making opportunities. Through civic engagement and collaboration with governments, NGOs, and decision-makers, we work to build inclusive systems that protect, empower, and elevate women and girls, even in the most challenging political environments.
With the support of our communities and partners, we continue to drive advocacy, leadership development, community-based initiatives, and policy change that contribute to safer, more equitable futures for women and girls worldwide.

What Does Membership Mean?
By joining the movement, voting members will be able to attend our Annual Women's Symposium & AGM, support calls to action, be a part of committees that support our advocacy and different global projects, take part on steering committees for our knowledge exchanges and have access to our Education Centre.

Our organization's strength comes from the stakeholder relationships we develop. Through our NGO & University Membership, we aim to build a voice that represents a Global Platform. Creating opportunities for evidence-informed feminist dialogue, lobbying and taking part in knowledge-sharing exchanges at the Global Level.
